Q. My eyeliner pencil always ends up making me look like a raccoon after a while. I have tried different brands, powder etc but to no avail. Any suggestions?

A. Have you tried a water resistant eyeliner? Our Cairo Eyes Liquid Liner is budge proof and water resistant. Also, avoid using eyecream in the morning. If you use foundation and concealer, make sure you are setting it with a powder. Laura Mercier makes a great translucent that you can use around the eyes and won't accentuate lines, etc.. And of-course, I'm a big fan of using eyeshadow instead of pencil. Just make sure you apply it with a very stiff brush, like our liner brush in the Jet Setter Tool Case, so the line is precise and close to the lash line. That will prevent fading and running. Q. I've seen you on tv, and listen to your tips. There is one problem that I have, that I can't figure out why it happens or what I can do. My eyeliner runs. I would say an hour after I put it on my eyes get black under them and continues to get dark through the day. I barely put any on to begin with. What can I do, if there is something? A. The first thing to keep your eyeliner from running under your eyes is to NOT use an eyeliner pencil under the eye area. It can be too soft and end up smudging. Instead, use a dark powder shadow with an sharp angle brush. The powder will wear a lot longer and look a lot softer. Also, you can set your eye area with a fine milled powder that will absorb any moisture around the eye and keep your makeup on longer.

Q. hi i am 46 and i have a problem i cant wear any eyeshadows the creams crease,the shadows show all my lines and look HORRIBLE! worse yet when my daughter wearsthe same shadows she looks beautiful which is wonderful but she is afraid she will end uplookin like me HELP!!! we both have a dark complection somewhat nice skin no blemishes but i want some eye color i look so plain ugg thanks, hopeful

A. Hi Hopeful- You can always work around this problem! First, use a concealer over your lid. Our Complexion Perfection works great. Second, stick with a good satin/silky powder shadow. Our i-Divine Eyeshadows are triple milled and high in pigment. You need to stay with powders and away from high frost shades. Third, make sure you really concentrate on your lashes. Curl them and use a our Exotic Eyes Blackest mascara. Last but not least, make sure your brows are perfectly groomed. Between your brows and your lashes, you won't need to wear a lot of shadow. If you do buy some, go for peaches and brighter browns. Hope that helps!

Q. What's the easiest way to apply false eyelashes?

A.Instead of using the entire strip, cut it in half and apply the outer half to the outer corner only.
